At HOK & DJS, our rental service offers you direct access to our avant-garde couture wardrobe — garments crafted to command attention, designed for those who refuse the ordinary. Below are our guidelines to ensure each piece remains as pristine and powerful as the moment it was created.

Rental Fee

• All couture rentals are priced at 50% of the garment’s full retail value.
  
• This fee secures your exclusive use of the piece for the agreed rental period.
  

Insurance & Security Hold

• A refundable insurance hold equal to the garment’s full retail cost will be placed on your major credit card at the time of rental.
  
• This hold acts as protection for the garment while in your care.
  
• Once the garment is returned and passes inspection, the hold will be released back to you.
  

Credit Card Requirement

• A major credit card is required to complete any rental.
  
• Your card will be authorized for both the rental fee and the insurance hold.
  

Rental Period

• Standard rental windows are 3–5 days (custom arrangements available).
  
• Late returns without prior approval are subject to daily late fees and may reduce your insurance refund.
  
• Extensions must be requested before the return date and will incur additional charges.
  

Garment Care & Responsibility

• Each piece must be returned in its original condition, free from alteration, with all tags and labels intact.
  
• Normal wear is expected; however, damage such as tears, stains, or loss of embellishment may result in repair costs being deducted from your insurance hold.
  
• If a garment is returned irreparably damaged or not returned at all, the full retail cost will be charged.
  

Inspection & Refund

• Every piece is carefully inspected and documented before release.
  
• Upon return, garments undergo the same inspection.
  
• Insurance refunds are typically processed within 5–7 business days of garment clearance.
  

Reservation & Processing

• Garments are reserved upon full payment of the rental fee + authorization of the insurance hold.
  
• We recommend booking well in advance to ensure availability of your desired size and style.
  
• Each rental is processed with couture-level care: thorough inspection, steaming, pressing, secure packaging, and tracking before delivery.
  

Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations made 7 days or more before the rental date may be eligible for partial refunds or credit toward future rentals.
  
• Cancellations made after that window are non-refundable.
  

Legal & Liability

• By renting, you agree to our full Terms & Conditions / Rental Agreement, which includes a waiver of liability, indemnification clauses, and dispute resolution terms.
  
• You are responsible for any shipping damage if you arrange your own return. We strongly recommend using our prepaid, insured return label for full protection.
  
• We comply with all applicable health, safety, and garment-handling regulations.
